Job Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to support the design development and delivery of client-facing wealth management applications. This role requires a strong engineer who can remain actively involved in coding peer reviews technical design performance optimization and mentoring developers.

The ideal candidate should have expert-level experience with Python AWS Lambda Angular TypeScript SQS SNS API Gateway and DynamoDB. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building scalable event-driven serverless applications within the AWS ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on development of client-facing wealth management tools.
• Build backend services using Python and AWS Lambda.
• Develop modern frontend components using Angular and TypeScript.
• Design reusable components technical patterns and coding standards for the team.
• Perform code reviews and mentor developers on best practices.
• Lead technical design and ensure alignment with serverless and event-driven architecture.
• Build and support integrations across multiple wealth management platforms.
• Troubleshoot cross-platform issues related to latency data consistency APIs and messaging workflows.
• Optimize Lambda performance reduce cold starts and improve backend response times.
• Improve UI performance state management and user experience in Angular applications.
• Support automated testing CI/CD pipelines and production deployment practices.

Required Skills

• 10 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Full Stack Engineer.
• Expert-level Python development experience.
• Strong experience building backend services using AWS Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with Angular 14 and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including SQS SNS API Gateway and DynamoDB.
• Experience designing and building event-driven microservices.
• Strong understanding of serverless architecture and cloud-native development.
• Experience with API design integration patterns and distributed systems.
• Strong debugging performance tuning and code review skills.
• Ability to mentor developers while remaining hands-on with coding.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in wealth management investment platforms portfolio management or financial planning tools.
• Experience integrating legacy platforms into modern AWS-based ecosystems.
• Experience with automated testing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of financial services compliance security and data handling best practices.
