Job Summary
- Opportunity to work across business units and technical teams translating user needs into clear and actionable system solutions
- Full-time (1.0 FTE) maximum-term role until 25 June 2027
- Remuneration: Band 4 - $89184.51 - $111200.77 12% superannuation

About the role
The Technical Business Analyst bridges business and technical teams translating user needs into clear and actionable technical requirements.
The role requires strong stakeholder engagement analytical thinking and technical literacy with involvement across the full system development lifecycle from requirements gathering through to testing and implementation. You will also identify opportunities for system and process improvement ensuring solutions align with real user needs and deliver value.
The role reports to the Technical Analysis and Process Improvements Manager and works closely with developers analysts and the broader data and systems team.

- Engaging with stakeholders to understand analyse and document business and system requirements
- Translating user requests into clear structured technical requirements and specifications
- Distinguishing between perceived and actual user needs to define effective solutions
- Developing business functional and technical requirements documentation
- Working closely with developers and data analysts to translate requirements into build-ready outputs
- Supporting solution design activities and stakeholder discussions
- Participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test planning and validation
- Managing both smaller technical requests and contributing to larger system projects (e.g. Commissioning Management System upgrades)
- Identifying opportunities for system improvement process optimisation and clean-up initiatives
- Contributing to documentation standards templates and team knowledge assets
About you:
- Graduate qualifications in Information Technology Computer Science Information Systems or related field or minimum 3 years equivalent experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills with a collaborative and people-focused approach
- Strong ability to interpret user needs and translate them into clear system requirements
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to document user needs develop clear and structured requirements and translate business problems into actionable technical solutions.
- High attention to detail with proven ability to plan prioritise share and adhere to work plans
- Inquisitive mindset with the ability to ask the right questions and uncover underlying issues
