About The Opportunity
This Senior Commercial Analyst role is a 12-month maternity leave cover and is responsible for supporting the commercial performance of the business through accurate reporting financial insight and analysis.
Working closely with senior leaders across Sales Finance and Operations you will own the preparation and interpretation of key commercial reporting including sales performance forecasting and month-end analysis.
While the role utilises tools such as Power BI the focus is on commercial understanding and analytical judgement ensuring the business has reliable well-interpreted information to support decision-making.
- Own the preparation and delivery of key commercial reporting including weekly sales performance forecasting and month-end analysis
- Analyse commercial performance and provide clear commentary on drivers risks and opportunities
- Work with CRM and financial data sources primarily NetSuite to maintain accurate reporting outputs
- Provide insight and analytical support to senior stakeholders including General Managers
- Validate and sense-check reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and commercial relevance
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes automation and data quality
- Contribute to the ongoing development of analytics capability across the business
About You
You are a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with data to understand business performance and support decision-making. You are comfortable working with complex or imperfect datasets and have the judgement to translate numbers into meaningful insights.
Other key skills experience and qualifications:
- Experience in a commercial analyst financial analyst or business performance role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience working with sales revenue or financial performance reporting
- Ability to interpret data and present clear commercial insights to senior stakeholders
- Experience working with BI or reporting tools such as Power BI (or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong data validation capability
- Background in finance accounting economics or a related commercial discipline highly desirable
