Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds in Summerville SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a leading tech media and telecom location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and assist employees and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees contractors and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures access protocols and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout office lab and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance lighting and access control issues.
- Monitor entry points and verify identification visitor authorizations and delivery documentation; assist with badge issuance and check-in processes as required by post orders.
- Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications to site leadership and public responders per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports on patrols incidents and policy violations; use required systems to document observations preserve chain of custody for found property and support follow-up actions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
