Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and reliability of a fleet of cranes and forklifts operating in Pemba Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning coordinating and supervising all maintenance activities to ensure equipment operates safely efficiently and with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for a fleet of cranes forklifts and related lifting equipment.
Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
Diagnose mechanical hydraulic and electrical faults and oversee timely repairs.
Manage maintenance staff technicians and external service providers to ensure work is completed to required standards.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades where necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations operational standards and company maintenance procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records service logs and equipment history.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of necessary components.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel.
Liaise with operations teams to plan maintenance activities that minimize disruption to operations.

Key Skills:

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems diesel engines lifting equipment and preventative maintenance systems.
Experience working in industrial port logistics mining or construction environments.
Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Strong organizational and reporting skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to lifting equipment.
