Job Summary
SUMMARY
Senior Test Lead
JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate testing with the vendor Onshore QA Team. Escalate issues when necessary.
- Interact with key stakeholders from various areas of the business (e.g. Front Office Back Office Middle Office Sec Lending FX and BPP) to analyze requirements and produce test plans.
- Knowledge and Hands-On experience with Corporate Actions SWIFT Messages Standards and BaNCS.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and be flexible to manage changing priorities. Must be able to work in high-pressured environment. Collaborator willing and able to drive collaborative efforts across the QA organization to improve product quality.
- Willing to support over the weekend / extra efforts to complete testing deliverables as and when needed.
- Coach lead and mentor other team members. Participate in knowledge transfer with the team and business units. Create review and approve test plans requirements traceability matrix test scenarios test summary reports scripts or procedures such as database impacts software scenarios or usability.
- Work closely with product owners BA development offshore and onshore QA teams in gathering reviewing and clarifying business requirements and functionality BRD Release Notes and Impact documents.
- Estimate Test Design and Test Execution efforts assign Complexity and Priority to test cases.
- Analyze project release problems and take corrective action escalating as needed to resolve and prevent future production incidents.
- Enforces code branching for the releases.
- Be a gatekeeper of Test Environments (QA & UAT1) and control what versions and when it deployed to these environments.
- Propose Hardware & Software upgrades for QA Tools or necessary improvement methods.
- Identify opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and automation.
- Create SQL queries and utilize SQL Server Management Studio; MS SQL 2008 and 2012 environments. Oracle 11G
- Performs all functions as assigned by management
- Experience on Cloud Based Testing
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MUST HAVE SKILLS
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science business or related field
- 8 18 years of experience in Quality Assurance software testing and test automation
- Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance standards and methodology
- Experience in leading/coordinating work with the onshore team
- Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity markets. FI: US treasury and government agency major European bonds corporate bonds and supranational bonds. Equities: US major European and Asian stocks.
- Knowledge on SWIFT with hands-on experience on any one of the modules (Corporate Action Payment Trade & Settlement and FX Modules)
- Experience working in a rapidly changing and fast paced business environment.
SKILLS
- Strong Experience on the Capital Markets with specific focus on the experience in Security Lending Corporate Actions SWIFT Messages and Money Market Instruments
- Demonstrated proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) required
- Proficient in data manipulation Cloud Based Testing and back-end testing
- Ability to work with and manipulate large data files (e.g. using Excel Access etc.)
- Able to extract & deploy releases from TFS and Jenkins to test environments restart jobs or services.
NICE TO HAVE REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Experience using one or more languages such as Python Java VB C C
- Experience on Cloud Testing skills will be an added advantage
- Industry-recognized certification in the areas of Quality Assurance and testing (e.g. ISTQB / CSTE CS Quality Assurance and CQE) helpful
