Job Summary
The Program Director serves as a key leader within St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church responsible for the vision development coordination and evaluation of parish programs and ministries. This individual ensures that all programs align with the Churchs mission Catholic teachings and the pastoral priorities established by the Pastor. The Program Director fosters spiritual growth community engagement and operational excellence across parish initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and direction for parish programs and ministries in alignment with the mission of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Plan coordinate and oversee parish programs events and faith formation initiatives.
Collaborate with the Pastor staff and ministry leaders to ensure programs meet the spiritual and community needs of the parish.
Recruit train and support volunteers and ministry leaders.
Develop and manage program schedules and budgets with a focus on responsible stewardship.
Promote parish programs and encourage active participation within the parish community.
Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements as needed.
Ensure compliance with diocesan policies and parish guidelines.
Job Requirements
Practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong understanding of Church teachings and parish life.
Bachelors degree in theology ministry nonprofit management education or related field (Masters preferred).
35 years of leadership experience in parish ministry nonprofit program management or related environment.
Strong organizational communication and leadership skills.
Experience managing budgets and supervising staff and volunteers.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for parish activities.
