About the role
Come work in our busy production kitchen a cook fresh facility producing 60000 meals each month. Be part of our dedicated team of 40 kitchen staff working together to produce high quality meals for patients.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Kitchen Supervisor / Breakfast Chef to join our healthcare food services team. This role is ideal for an early riser 4:00 AM start who takes pride in preparing nutritious high-quality meals and maintaining excellent kitchen standards in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast meals to a high standard for patients
- Supervise morning kitchen operations and support kitchen staff
- Ensure food safety hygiene and health regulations are always followed
- Monitor food quality presentation and portion control
- Assist with stock rotation ordering and kitchen management
- Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior chef or a Kitchen Supervisor
- 5 years experience in large volume food production in a kitchen production unit
- Experience working in healthcare aged care or high-volume kitchens preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to lead a large team and work independently
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to start at 4:00 AM
- Good communication and organisational skills
