A bit about the job

Your role as Head of Social at dentsu Aotearoa is critical one in todays advertising landscape crafting shaping and executing the development of social campaigns to scale across various platforms. Youre tasked with bridging the gap between experience and digital helping clients and brands create a consistent voice through clever campaigns and influencer management to grow audiences and brand awareness.

This role is an all-encompassing one and at the core is coming up with social strategies and solutions for our clients across various industries. Working closely with our wider Creative and Media teams it is almost certain that no two days are going to be the same one minute you might be facilitating a strategic development workshop or coming up with content guidance and the next minute get stuck in with producing material for content. The one constant will be nurturing client relationships throughout the process as our non-negotiable.

Responsibilities include

• Lead the strategic development of creative briefs for social content management and planning ensuring alignment to the wider communication strategy for the client.
• Subject matter expert on all things social and platform consulting teams and clients on best practice new trends and formats.
• Researching the latest trends and platform developments to create a content strategy fit for perfect for todays audiences with an evidence-based approach.
• Oversee the delivery of the social content workstreams from client brief to execution removing blockers and running post campaign analysis maybe even writing a bit of copy.
• Bring together and collaborate closely with our dentsu Media and Creative teams delivering integrated social led projects and solutions.
• Own relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders through effective problem solving communication of concepts developing goals and milestones and reporting.
• Create accurate estimates for each project and manage the delivery to ensure the project comes in on budget time and to a high quality.
• Actively seek new business support pitches and/or new project work to help the agency grow its influence.

A bit about you

• Experience working in a Social Creative or Media Agency environment in similar Social Lead or Head of role.
• Experience leading the development of social strategy and content development with leading brands.
• Highly organised and able to effectively multitask across different projects and bringing clients team members and partners together to deliver high quality campaigns.
• Confident presenter and proactive communicator showcasing a high level of attention to detail and EQ when sharing ideas translate requirements that deliver exceptional results.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills. The nature of our work is dynamic so youll be comfortable working with constantly changing requirements with creative problem solving.
• Naturally curious and analytical; uses research data and insights to bring an evidence-based approach to present ideas decision making and presenting campaign analysis and maybe supporting an award entry or two.
• Leadership ability and experience leading and mentoring a small team to big things.
