Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Dev Engineer to work in a support-oriented engineering model responsible for troubleshooting analyzing and resolving L3 tickets across distributed applications closely working with the support team. The ideal candidate will bring strong Java expertise solid debugging skills and the ability to work in German hours. This role involves collaborating closely with development SRE QA and product teams to ensure the stability reliability and performance of services running in production.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical and analytical support for Java-based applications in production.
Perform root-cause analysis troubleshoot high-priority incidents and drive permanent fixes.
Analyze logs performance metrics and system behaviour to resolve issues efficiently.
Develop automation scripts (Shell Groovy or similar) to reduce manual work and improve support processes.
Work with engineering teams to implement fixes or enhancements identified during production investigations.
Monitor application health performance and stability using observability tools (good to have)
Collaborate with DBAs to analyze SQL/PostgreSQL queries data inconsistencies and performance bottlenecks.
Flexible to support the L2 team as per bandwidth to ensure application availability.
Contribute to documentation of recurring issues troubleshooting steps and best practices.

Mandatory Skills

Strong Java (6) with experience using Maven/Gradle.
Hands-on experience in debugging log analysis and production issue handling.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL or SQL databases.
Exposure to automation or scripting using Shell Groovy or similar languages.
Ability to work in shift-based support environments.
Experience with Spring Boot and REST API integrations.

Desirable Skills

Awareness of AWS Core services or microservices architectures.
Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Grafana Datadog ELK).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitHub Actions etc.).
