We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer (Expert) to support digital retail solutions used at point-of-sale environments. These platforms enable an engaging customer experience through digital product visualization content management systems and customer delivery applications used across dealership environments.
The role focuses on operational support testing coordination process analysis and ensuring system reliability across multiple integrated applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business and operational processes to identify clear system requirements.
- Review and propose alternative system design solutions.
- Present technical solutions to the Product Owner or Project Lead.
- Create and execute test cases and support testing activities.
- Perform basic SIT and UAT reporting.
- Support and coordinate test case creation with business testers and developers.
- Track requirements and ensure test coverage across all testing phases.
- Ensure testing entry and exit criteria are met.
- Assist with defect management and retesting activities.
- Monitor production environments and respond to ITSM tickets.
- Assist with production configuration and application performance monitoring.
- Maintain weekly and monthly ITSM reporting dashboards.
- Provide operational support during on-call and holiday rotations.
- Produce system documentation user manuals and operational documentation.
- Support user training and system implementation activities.
- Participate in system audits and quality assurance initiatives.
- Coach and support colleagues when required.
Requirements
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of SDLC and systems engineering concepts
- End-to-end process analysis
- Test case development and management
- Modelling methods and techniques
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to coordinate across development testing and operations teams
Advantageous Skills:
- Knowledge of enterprise IT project methodologies
- Experience working with Agile toolchains including:
Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related field
- Relevant experience in testing systems engineering or operations support
