Activity Activities Aide part time 10a 6pm

Were seeking an Activity Aide to involve residents in a therapeutic engagement program.  You will help residents with life enrichment activities and a variety of entertainment options to help keep them engaged in their recovery programs.  We are seeking candidates with a strong background in sports culture music and traditional recreational activities to help bring joy structure and stimulation to those in our care.

What Youll Do

Lead engaging group activities ranging from fitness and games to music and arts
Lead stimulating individual cognitive and memory retention events for our long-term residents
Contribute to programs that keep short-term patients motivated and engaged
Maintain accurate documentation in PointClickCare (EMR system)
Collaborate with our health care teams to individualize your approach

Qualifications :

Activities Aide (in other centers this may be called a Life Enrichment Coordinator)

• Prior experience as an Activity Aide in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with related experience in recreational therapy or in providing structured therapeutic activities for cognitively impaired or elderly populations will be considered. This includes engaging residents in meaningful life enrichment programs and leading group activities or individual one-on-one sessions.
• The ideal candidate is outgoing compassionate and skilled at creating a welcoming environment that encourages resident involvement and participation.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) or patient documentation systems is preferred.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

This center is managed by TRANSITIONAL CARE MANAGEMENT.  We currently provide comprehensive management services to several inpatient healthcare centers throughout Northern IL & the Chicagoland area. These settings include Long-term Care Skilled Nursing (SNFs) Short-term Care Rehabilitation Intermediate Care (ICFs) and Behavioral Health Service (SMHRFs) centers.
