About the Role

As a Cost Accountant you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations through accurate cost accounting inventory reporting and financial close activities. This role requires strong attention to detail the ability to manage competing deadlines and a commitment to delivering highquality accurate financial information. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing logistics and finance partners to ensure reliable cost data and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations in SAP.
  • Actively support monthend close activities ensuring deadlines are met and balances are proactively reviewed prior to close.
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the cost accounting function including recommending process improvements and additional controls.
  • Partner closely with the Cost Accounting Manager to execute assigned tasks and projects.
  • Maintain the SAP inventory module and support the annual standard cost process.
  • Provide ongoing financial support to manufacturing and logistics teams.
  • Prepare and manage royalty reporting.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with SOX documentation and compliance activities.
  • Support international teams with local and regional reporting requirements.
  • Effectively manage time and priorities while collaborating with teams across multiple time zones.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
  • Five or more years of experience in general ledger and/or cost accounting.
  • Handson approach with a strong work ethic and proactive solutionoriented mindset.
  • Clear effective communication skills and a collaborative customerfocused approach.
  • Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities in a fastpaced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $80500 - $107600which can vary if outside this locationplus bonus benefits and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills competencies experience market demands internal parity and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
