Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization through accurate financial reporting and compliance. This position will involve a variety of accounting tasks from data entry to the preparation of financial statements to ensure effective financial management.
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Prepare analyze and assist in the generation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support the monthly closing process.
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions ensuring timely processing.
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting activities providing quantitative insights for decision-making.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records for general ledger accounts.
- Contribute to internal and external audits by providing necessary information and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and monitor depreciation calculations.
- Stay informed of new accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary Range: $80000 - $100000 annually.
