Job Summary:
The System Operations Technician is responsible for ensuring the health and availability of endpoints and systems critical to airport operations. This includes proactive monitoring patch management application support and issue resolution. The technician will utilize enterprise monitoring tools perform regular system checks and conduct physical walkthroughs to identify and address potential problems.
The System Operations Technician is responsible for ensuring the health and availability of endpoints and systems critical to airport operations. This includes proactive monitoring patch management application support and issue resolution. The technician will utilize enterprise monitoring tools perform regular system checks and conduct physical walkthroughs to identify and address potential problems.
Location:Detroit Michigan United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily proactive health checks on systems and endpoints.
- Manage endpoint patching and updates for workstations and supported systems.
- Support application deployment and packaging.
- Monitor systems using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Verify backup success and retention compliance.
- Conduct monthly restore testing as required.
- Perform twice-daily terminal walkthroughs to validate displays kiosks digital directories video walls biometric systems and other public-facing technology.
- Create service tickets and coordinate resolution for detected issues.
- Support endpoint security tools.
- Assist with automation tasks using approved scripting where applicable.
