Job Overview

Tekberry is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist to support transportation and logistics operations for our client. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of customer vehicles to and from auction locations and other regional destinations ensuring timely delivery accurate processing and strong communication with internal teams carriers and vendors.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced high-volume environment and demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities accountability and communication skills. This position requires a balance of logistics coordination customer service and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination & Operations

Coordinate and manage transport of vehicles to and from auction sites and regional locations
Dispatch and negotiate with carriers to optimize delivery timelines and margins
Monitor transportation holds delays cancellations and ETA updates
Investigate and resolve carrier issues including re-dispatching units as needed
Track and manage multiple VINs daily across transportation workflows

Systems & Order Management

Enter and process manual and system-generated orders (AS400 and internal systems)
Monitor and correct order entry failures throughout the day
Update and maintain master data files for location accuracy
Process fees and post assessorial charges accurately
Utilize AutoIMS for transport delays holds and cancellations

Communication & Vendor Management

Build strong relationships with auction teams carriers and internal stakeholders
Communicate via phone systems (recorded lines) and manage shared email inboxes
Hold carriers accountable to agreed timelines and performance standards
Create and manage corrective action plans for vendors
Collaborate across regional teams to ensure operational alignment

Reporting & Performance Tracking

Compile transportation and logistics data to generate reports
Monitor vendor and client performance metrics
Analyze trends and provide insights to management and executive leadership
Track margin performance and support profitability goals

Problem Solving & Process Execution

Manage escalated transportation issues and client concerns
Identify root causes of delays or failures and implement solutions
Maintain high attention to detail in all data entry and tracking activities
Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Required Qualifications

1 3 years of administrative or logistics experience (automotive industry preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Outlook and Word
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to work independently in a matrixed hybrid environment
Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced setting
Valid Drivers License
Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

Some college education
1 year of experience in transportation dispatching
1 year of experience in sales or call center environments
Experience working with logistics systems (e.g. AS400 AutoIMS)

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring one day per week onsite at a Manheim Auctions location. The position operates in a fast-paced logistics environment with high volumes of transactions communications and coordination across multiple stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills adaptability and the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently.
