Hours: 40 hours/week (Day Shift 8:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Projected Start Date: March 30 2026
Projected Duration: 8 Weeks from start date
Position Overview The Benefit and Eligibility Specialist (Adjudicator) is responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications for various public assistance programs. The specialist conducts interactive interviews verifies documentation gathers facts and determines applicant eligibility for benefits in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
This role requires strong attention to detail excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with applicants including conducting follow-up as needed to complete eligibility determinations.
Key Responsibilities - Review and process applications for public assistance programs.
- Conduct interviews (in-person or telephonic) with applicants and recipients to gather necessary details.
- Verify application data for accuracy and completeness.
- Request additional information from applicants when necessary.
- Ensure all eligibility decisions comply with program rules and regulations.
- Document findings and maintain accurate case files.
- Work onsite and participate in a 7-week in-person training program.
- Potential for transition to Full-Time Employee (FTE) after successful completion of training.
Required Qualifications - 2 years of Customer Service experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work onsite full-time
- Reliable transportation
- Must be a local candidate; resumes must list current location
- Must be available for in-person interviews within one week of posting close date
- Must be able to start within two weeks of receiving an offer
- Must successfully complete background check and drug screening via HireRight
Preferred Qualifications - Experience performing eligibility reviews
- Prior public assistance or casework experience
Training & Work Conditions - Training Duration: Approximately 7 weeks (onsite)

Additional Notes - Tentative start date may vary based on interviews onboarding timeline and agency purchase order issuance.
