Senior Solutions Architect Network Health & Automation

Our client is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join the Network Health & Automation product team.

This role is focused on providing IT network management solutions to ensure reliable and efficient global network operations covering areas such as Network Monitoring Logging Automation and Firewall Management.

The Mission: You will be a technically strong engineer responsible for the design development and operation of software components and automation scripts that drive global network health.

Your goal is to simplify complex network operations through automation (Python) and modern cloud-native practices ensuring high standards of cybersecurity and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A relevant technical degree such as BSc Computer Science BSc Information Systems BEng (Computer /
• Electrical / Electronic) MSc or equivalent.
• Strong candidates with an IT diploma or similar qualification may also be considered provided they can demonstrate exceptional hands on capability and experience.
• 5 years of practical experience working in complex technical environments.
• Candidates must demonstrate practical hands-on competence through prior experience portfolio of work detailed technical discussions or real-world problem-solving capability.

Essential Skills (Verified):

• Strong understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals routing and firewall security architectures
• Deep troubleshooting skills across systems networks and applications (must handle complex multi layered issues)
• Solid programming skills (Python preferred) and experience building integrations with APIs databases and network devices
• Experience delivering and maintaining complex software solutions including custom extensions and automation
• Hands on experience with operations processes: patching monitoring log analysis and performance optimization
• Strong understanding of REST APIs scripting and automation frameworks
• Exposure to enterprise governance processes (incident change problem management)

Advantageous Skills:

• Experience with firewall rule management platforms (Tufin preferred)
• Strong Linux experience and additional programming/scripting skills (Bash JavaScript)
• Experience working with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) in operational or development contexts
• Experience steering and coordinating work packages with external service providers
• Ability to analyse complex environments and propose technical improvements and automation opportunities
• Strong communication: able to simplify complex technical issues for non technical stakeholders
• Experience with Agile methodologies and release management processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical colleagues/users
• Ability to understand and interpret business needs and move concepts from proposal to implementation
• Excellent organisational skills
• Willingness to engage with international stakeholders where language barriers might exist
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to producing high quality deliverables on time
• Ability to remain effective and composed under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate maintain and enhance the firewall rule management platform (commercial custom-built components).
• Develop new platform components integrations and automation workflows (Python APIs database queries).
• Perform complex troubleshooting across networking application logic and system components.
• Coordinate delegate and technically guide external providers for operational and development work.
• Ensure platform stability through patching monitoring performance tuning and proactive risk identification.
• Prepare environments and perform go-live activities with post-deployment support.
• Maintain high-quality documentation (technical specs procedures training material).
• Participate in problem change and incident management processes.
• Engage with users and stakeholders (often international) as the technical owner of the platform.
• Participate in standby shift and after hours operational activities as needed.
• Willing and able to travel internationally for up to two weeks at a time.
• Implement and maintain internal controls that mitigate business risk and comply with policy and procedures.
• Flexibility in taking up different tasks within a project or work environment.
