Planning Engineer Construction Nigeria

We are hiring for the role of Project Site Planner for a leading Construction company in Nigeria. As a Project Site Planner / Planning Engineer you will be responsible for developing monitoring and controlling project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project managers site engineers subcontractors and procurement teams to track progress identify delays and implement corrective actions.

• Develop detailed project schedules and work programs using planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.

• Prepare baseline schedules work breakdown structures (WBS) and resource loading plans for construction projects.

• Monitor daily weekly and monthly project progress against planned schedules.

• Prepare and update progress reports look-ahead schedules and recovery plans.

• Coordinate with site engineers contractors and procurement teams to ensure alignment with project timelines.

• Analyze schedule variances delays and risks and recommend corrective actions.

• Support project managers in budget monitoring and resource planning.

• Track and report project milestones deliverables and critical path activities.

• Assist in preparation of tender schedules project planning documentation and claims analysis.

• Ensure compliance with company standards safety regulations and project requirements.

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field.

• 8 years of experience in construction project planning or scheduling.

• Experience working on large infrastructure commercial or industrial construction projects.

• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 MS Project and Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of construction methodologies project controls and scheduling techniques.

• Ability to analyze project data and prepare detailed reports.
