A leading construction company in Nigeria is seeking an experienced Chief Civil Engineer to lead and oversee all civil engineering activities across multiple construction projects. The role is responsible for providing technical leadership ensuring high engineering standards managing civil engineering teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide technical leadership and direction for all civil engineering activities within the organization.

Oversee the planning design and execution of civil and infrastructure works on construction projects.

Review and approve engineering designs drawings specifications and technical documentation.

Ensure compliance with engineering standards local regulations and project specifications.

Supervise and mentor civil engineers site engineers and technical teams.

Coordinate with project managers architects consultants and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

Monitor construction progress quality control and engineering performance across projects.

Identify and resolve technical challenges and design issues during project execution.

Support project teams with engineering solutions value engineering and cost optimization.

Ensure implementation of health safety and environmental standards on all projects.

Participate in tender reviews technical evaluations and project planning.

Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to senior management.

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (Masters degree is an advantage).

10 15 years of experience in civil engineering and construction projects.

Proven experience managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of construction methods structural design and engineering standards.

Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar tools.

Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
