Job Description:
Join State Technologies Ltd (State) as a Backend Engineer to build and maintain high-quality Laravel services and APIs. Youll architect scalable systems supporting GenAI integrations GIS and Knowledge Graphs driving a mission to make civic engagement intuitive and accountable. What you will do:

• Design develop test and deploy scalable backend services and APIs using Laravel ensuring high concurrency and extensibility.

• Architect and optimize systems that support GenAI integrations GIS systems Knowledge Graphs and high-concurrency workloads.

• Work cross-functionally with Product and AI teams to integrate LLMs vector retrieval and graph reasoning following best practices in code quality and observability.

The ideal candidate:

• Possesses at least 5 years of professional Laravel experience with PHP and various databases like PostgreSQL and Redis.

• Has essential experience working directly with OpenAI or other LLM providers and exposure to GenAI engineering including model integration and vector retrieval.

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks (PHPUnit/Pest) common architecture patterns for scalability and experience with GIS systems and Knowledge Graphs.
