The Opportunity:

The AI Product Lead owns the strategy roadmap and enterprise adoption of AI capabilitiesincluding LLMs RAG frameworks conversational AI model services and enabling platformsthat accelerate insights automation and decision-making across the organization. This senior product role drives AI readiness governance responsible AI standards lifecycle management and cross-domain enablement ensuring that AI solutions are scalable secure compliant and businessvalue driven.

You will partner with Enterprise Architecture Data Science Engineering and domain product teams (Commercial R&D Medical Corporate) to deliver high-impact AI products that leverage proprietary data securely and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

• Define and lead the enterprise AI product strategy covering LLMs RAG architectures AI services and reusable components.
• Build a roadmap aligned with business priorities platform capabilities and responsible AI principles.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess integration opportunities.

AI Platform & Enablement

• Deliver reusable AI capabilities: prompt frameworks vector stores retrieval pipelines model orchestration and evaluation frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to operationalize LLMs (open-source and commercial) for internal use cases.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable observable secure and optimized for performance.

RAG & LLM Product Integration

• Lead development and productionization of RAG-based enterprise applications leveraging internal knowledge assets (EDB ontologies metadata).
• Oversee prompt engineering retrieval optimization grounding strategies and model evaluation.
• Ensure model transparency traceability and accuracy through robust evaluation and monitoring.

Governance Compliance & Responsible AI

• Define the lifecycle for AI models and services (buildvalidatedeploymonitorretire).
• Partner with Governance Legal and Security to ensure AI systems meet regulatory ethical and privacy requirements (GDPR/CCPA data minimization hallucination controls).
• Implement standards for Responsible AI including bias mitigation risk assessment and model documentation.

Cross-Domain Enablement

• Drive adoption of AI capabilities across Commercial R&D Medical and other business domains.
• Provide frameworks and reusable patterns that reduce time-to-value for new use cases.
• Ensure seamless integration with Data Marketplace knowledge graph/ontology products and analytics platforms.

Delivery & Value Realization

• Prioritize features and initiatives based on business impact technical feasibility and risk.
• Translate business needs into actionable AI product requirements.
• Measure and communicate value delivered (efficiency accuracy automation insight speed).

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the enterprise advocate for AI products and platforms.
• Partner with data scientists engineers architects and business leaders to shape solutions and drive adoption.
• Lead change management training and enablement for AI technologies.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors in Computer Science Data Science AI/ML Engineering or related field.
• Masters preferred.

Experience

• 58 years in AI/ML product ownership platform product management or data science leadership.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs RAG systems vector databases prompt engineering and model operationalization.
• Experience delivering enterprise AI products at scale.
• Pharma/biotech exposure preferred but not required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong product leadership: strategy roadmap prioritization OKRs stakeholder alignment.
• Knowledge of AI/ML architectures including transformer models embeddings retrieval optimization model evaluation drift monitoring and observability.
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps CI/CD for models and cloud-native AI services (Azure/AWS).
• Understanding of privacy model risk Responsible AI and regulatory considerations.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.
