As a Manager Business Development you will lead end-to-end category development across assigned business verticals. You will own the selection vision and growth roadmap defining how Quick Commerce can become a differentiated destination for urgent convenience-led routine and impulse missions across categories. This includes identifying whitespace opportunities shaping category-specific quick-commerce use cases and building scalable selection strategies that balance speed breadth depth and customer relevance.
You will lead and develop a high-performing team of category and business development managers setting clear goals coaching for impact and driving strong execution rigor. The role requires close engagement with brands distributors aggregators and sellers to unlock exclusive launches quick-commerce-first selection premium and imported assortments regional relevance and emerging brand partnerships purpose-built for rapid fulfillment. You will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain Instock Pricing Tech Marketing and Operations to ensure selection is operationally viable commercially competitive and consistently available at scale.
This role will be central to defining how Amazon Now leads the market on selection outpacing incumbents through superior assortment architecture faster selection refresh cycles smarter store-level deployment and sharper commercial levers. You will partner closely with senior leadership to influence long-term category strategy shape investment priorities and deliver sustained disproportionate growth across Amazon Nows next growth pillars.
Key job responsibilities
Set the category strategy and execution roadmap for General Merchandize Categories spanning Hardlines Consumer Electronics Toys Kitchen Sports Home Improvement and adjacent hardlines and lead a team to deliver sustained growth through selection expansion partnerships and scalable Quick-Commerce mechanisms.
Establish selection leadership versus incumbent competitors by translating competitive gaps into clear time-bound actions across selection depth speed of deployment pricing competitiveness and availability within rapid-delivery constraints.
Build durable competitive advantages for Amazon Now by leveraging Amazons scale data supply chain and brand relationships to create differentiated hard-to-replicate category propositions.
Own brand and seller partnerships end-to-end including identifying priority partners structuring Quick-Commerce-first commercial models and driving exclusive early-access and differentiated launches that improve pricing availability and customer experience.
Set and uphold a high bar on category fundamentals ensuring strong selection readiness price competitiveness buyability catalog accuracy and instock health while systematically identifying and eliminating defects at scale.
Develop and lead a high-performing organization setting clear goals coaching for impact and driving strong execution rigor through cross-functional partnership with Supply Chain Instock Pricing Tech Marketing and Operations.
