Your Opportunity at SECURE
As our Facility Administrator you will be responsible for performing a broad range of functions in support of the efficient and effective operation of a metals recycling facility.
This role is based out of our West Edmonton facility.
Work Environment
This is a full time Monday to Friday role with rotating Saturdays.
A Day in The Life
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge and skill in employing scrap purchasing and management software
- Support customers and assign value to incoming metals
- Create manage and payout scale tickets
- Weigh trucks and customers in and out
- Visibly inspect every incoming load for non-metallics and hazardous or prohibited material
- Using a radio control customer unloading operations in the yard
- Create bills of lading for outgoing truck shipments
- Interact in a collaborative and cooperative manner with: the dispatcher truck drivers equipment operators the logistics team supervisors and management.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding scrap metal pricing in a prompt courteous and professional manner
- Assist front counter operations as required.
Skills Experience & Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills are required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and data including Microsoft Excel
- Administration experience is preferred
- Must be self-motivated and able to function in a fast-paced exciting team environment
- Must be able to conduct physical tasks including climbing up on trucks to inspect loads
- Previous metal recycling experience would be an asset
- Previous scale attendant experience would be an asset
