Job Summary:

The Assistant Student-Athlete Development/Leadership & Inclusion Coordinator is an 11-month position that plays a central role in designing delivering and evaluating high-impact events programs and initiatives that support both staff and studentathletes. Key responsibilities for the position can be found below.

This individual will also participate in the Emerging Leaders Program to gain hands-on experience build their network explore career options and develop essential professional skills.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Event and Program Coordination

  • Plan execute and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver impactful events programs and initiatives for both staff and student-athletes.

Collaboration on Major Initiatives

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams on the development and execution of large-scale initiatives and events.

Industry Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals and experts aligned with the departments objectives leveraging these connections to enhance program offerings.

Data and Metrics Tracking

  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to departmental priorities ensuring progress is measured and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop assessment tools to measure impact on departmental programs and initiatives across the organization

Resource Design and Development

  • Lead and facilitate a variety of programs for staff and student-athletes.

Facilitation of Programs and Sessions

  • Plan execute and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver impactful events programs and initiatives for both staff and student-athletes.
  • Facilitate workshops retreats and experiences that foster self-awareness critical thinking and inclusive leadership skills

Committee Participation

  • Serve as an active member of various cross-departmental committees contributing to the success of Badger Built and athletic department initiatives

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative assistance in the coordination and management of programs events and projects.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the departments mission and strategic goals.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the design of student-focused programming and associated resources and materials to promote new and ongoing educational initiatives
  • Provides guidance on resources for individual students or internal stakeholder groups

Serves on collaborative committees and executes essential and administrative functions

  • May assist with supervising and training student employees
  • Assists with scheduling logistics securing resources and facilitating one or multiple student affairs programs activities and/or services

Compensation:

$20/HR

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to work efficiently across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Intentional about building meaningful relationships with coaches staff and student-athletes
  • Strong self/social awareness skills and capable of professionalism in various settings
  • A proactive self-starter that embraces a growth mindset feedback and adaptability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in related field
  • Previous collegiate athletic experience

Education:

Candidates must have completed a bachelors degree

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% University Staff fixed-term appointment with an expected job end date in June of 2027. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range commensurate with the candidates qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
