Job Summary

A leading Durban-based fashion supplier is seeking a Qualified QA/QC Technologist to join their in-house team.

This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional with strong technical knowledge of garment or footwear construction and experience working with international suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and liaise with overseas suppliers and factories (China) regarding quality fits pre-production samples (PPS) and technical queries
Review and interpret technical specifications and advise on fit corrections and product improvements
Evaluate approve and follow up on factory audit and quality reports from China
Ensure products meet customer quality standards and compliance requirements
Monitor production quality for imported goods (local experience will also be considered)

Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Clothing Technology Footwear Technology or related field
Proven QA/QC experience within the fashion industry (footwear experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of garment/footwear construction fit and grading
Experience working with China-based suppliers
Imports experience advantageous
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
