Mechanical Assembler
Beckwood headquartered in Fenton Missouri is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of custom hydraulic presses and automation equipment and is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our this role you will be responsible for assembling large mechanical press equipment ensuring quality safety and accuracy throughout the build process. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined safety-minded and enjoys working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

What Youll Be Doing:
- Assemble press components according to specifications and procedures
- Ensure components are installed correctly and meet quality standards
- Complete inspection documentation and assembly records
- Perform startup procedures and assist with equipment testing
- Support adjustments and modifications during testing
- Assist with tonnage testing setup
- Set gibs and adjust parallelism as required
- Maintain overall equipment aesthetics and build quality
- Perform press tear-down and prepare equipment for shipping
- Label bag and organize components for shipment with the press
- Load presses and skids for shipment
- Document tear-down and shipping processes with photos
- Take technical photos during assembly as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work cell and surrounding area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Travel occasionally to customer sites (approximately 10%)
Qualifications
What Were Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred
- Ability to assemble large mechanical equipment and components
- Proficiency using hand tools and powered tools
- Must provide personal hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and assembly instructions
- Forklift operation experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience operating an overhead crane is a plus
- Ability to work safely from ladders lifts and JLG equipment

Work Environment
This position operates in a plant environment. The employee is regularly exposed to a variety of conditions within the plant. The noise level is usually moderate. Will be exposed to manufacturing conditions including heat in the summer months and cold in the winter months.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods moving throughout the manufacturing floor to position oneself for equipment inspection or maintenance. This includes ascending/descending and working atop ladders or elevated platforms as well as accessing machinery at varying heights including ground the position requires occasionally moving or transporting equipment or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
