Position: Mechanical Engineering Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $85$93/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Author technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on mechanical engineering problems.
- Review and annotate tasks involving diagrams figures and schematics.
- Produce original problem sets and write reference solutions.
- Apply structured quality checks to ensure task accuracy.
- Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering or MS with 3 years of applied experience or BS with 5 years in design simulation or manufacturing.
- Working fluency in at least two of: statics/dynamics thermodynamics fluid mechanics machine design or heat transfer.
- Comfortable with engineering drawings free-body diagrams and performance curves.
Preferred
- Prior teaching tutoring or technical writing experience.
