Director of Perioperative Services
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced leader to oversee and advance perioperative operations across multiple surgical service areas. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership operational oversight and quality improvement initiatives across operating room (OR) Same Day Surgery (SDS) Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Endoscopy Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) and Sterile Processing departments. The Director will collaborate closely with physicians clinical teams and administrative leadership to optimize surgical services enhance patient outcomes and drive operational efficiency.
Job Type: Full Time Days (weekends and holidays as needed On call required)
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance perioperative services improve operational performance and support organizational growth.

Oversee daily operations of surgical services departments including OR SDS PACU Endoscopy PAT and Sterile Processing.

Manage staffing models budgets and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and financial accountability.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards including DOH JCAHO AORN and APSAN.

Foster a collaborative environment by partnering with surgeons physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve workflows and patient care delivery.

Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety satisfaction and clinical outcomes.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement staff engagement and professional development.

Guide teams through organizational change while maintaining operational stability and strong communication across departments.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Nursing required.

Masters degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration Business Administration or a related field required.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

CNOR certification preferred or required within six months.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in perioperative services.

Minimum of 2 years of healthcare administrative leadership experience with increasing responsibility.

Demonstrated experience in staffing management budgeting and financial oversight.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite applications.
Compensation
Starting salary: $171891 annually with a competitive benefits package.
