Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is looking for aMedical Assistant to provide high quality care to patientsat our East Baltimore Medical Center Med/Pediatrics Practice.In partnership withBaltimore Medical System another local health system that provides much-needed healthcare services to the community.The Medical Assistant administers medications and immunizations obtains vital signs maintains inventory of appropriate supplies ensures safe and efficient patient flow tracks high-risk referrals and lab tests facilitates safe transitions of care organizes practice environment to assure patient safety and quality outcomes and contributes to HEDIS and designated quality measures.

Location: 1000 East Eager St. Baltimore Maryland 21202
Shift: Non-exempt - Full-time - 40 hours per week - dayshift Mon-Fri - 8:00 - 5:00 p.m.
What Youll Need to be Successful:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant required successful completion of the AAMA RMA/AMT NCRMA (NAHP) NCMA(NCCT) RCMAS(NCMA) CCMA(NHA) or RMA (American Allied Health). Medical Assistant Certification required within 3 months of hire. Five or more years of specific applicable MA experience in primary medical care may be substituted for formal training program provided eligibility for RMA(American Medical Technologists) exam. A valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years.
- Two years experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum $17.82/hour - Maximum $29.43/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
