Minimum Experience: 5 years; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Neonates to Geriatrics Certifications Required: Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics; Ability to be listed as an authorized medical physicist on State of Georgia Radioactive Material License; Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Provides physics services related to the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription. Provides technical leadership including clinical set-up expertise to radiation oncologists dosimetrists and therapists. Performs quality assurance checks according to regulatory requirements and industry standards for all department equipment. Ratio / Census: 30 per LINAC Unit Systems: Epic (Preferred) ARIA EMR/ Varian LINAC Experience Scrub Color: Not specified RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified Floating: Yes within facility/scope of practice as needed Call Requirements: Not specified Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving/Black Friday Christmas Eve/Christmas Day New Years Eve/New Years Day Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
