Major Responsibilities:
Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes; Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements; Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook; Submits requested information within established timelines.
STUDENTS:
Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and if necessary consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
INSTRUCTION:
Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s); Use technology such as Canvas PowerPoint etc. as appropriate; In event of emergency absence notifies program/department chair; Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people styles and views; Promote same as an integral part of ones work.
Fully supports the Colleges mission and strategic plan initiatives.

For Practical Nursing (PN) Program Faculty:
A Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
A Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) is preferred for lead/lecture faculty.
Must hold a current unencumbered RN license.
Two years of direct patient care experience required.
For Nursing (ASN PN or LPN-to-RN Programs):
A Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is the minimum if the instructor is currently enrolled in a graduate program in nursing and making progress toward completion.
Must hold a current unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license (or a compact state license recognized in Indiana).
At least two years of direct patient care experience as a registered nurse.
Clinical teaching assignments may require specific expertise in the specialty area (e.g. pediatrics med-surg OB psych/mental health).
