Responsibilities:
CLERICAL SUPPORT
- Provide secretarial and clerical support job for the program including updating department reports
including preparing letters memos forms reports documents and other requires material.
- Answer area telephones taking accurate messages and/or referring call to appropriate well as providing routine information regarding program activities to applicable individuals and external callers.
- Tally & document donations and make bank deposits.
- Prepare the meal order and email to caterer.
DELIVERY DRIVING
- Check daily route sheet ensuring appropriate meal delivery to clients and necessary information for delivery is accurate and complete.
- Drive van to caterer or other locations to pick up meals for delivery recording temperature of meal at time of pick up and at the last drop off. Record meals received time of meal delivery mileage and other required information.
- Inform office if no one answers at client home or other unusual situations are encountered at home site.
Notify Case Manager of any concerns regarding clients safety and wellbeing.
- Ensure vehicle is in safe operating condition and clean by checking equipment cleaning inside after trips checking oil tires etc. and notifying Program Coordinator of van-related problems.
- Deliver meals to congregate sites and offer assistance as needed.
Requirements:
- HS diploma/GED
- At least 2 years of related office/business experience. PC proficiency required.
- At least 2 years of experience driving a motor vehicle plus valid NYS Drivers License.
- Willingness and ability to drive agency vans and cars in all types of weather conditions.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual Spanish/English capability a plus.
Schedule: part-time 15 hours per week Mon. Wed. Fri. 10 AM to 3 PM
Rate of Pay: $18.02 per hour
This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidates qualifications skills competencies experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation such as the value of benefits which may be applicable to this position.
