The HR Advisor will provide professional advice and guidance to employees and line managers on a broad range of HR mattersincluding employee relations (ER) recruitment support HR systems administration and wider people initiatives.
Working closely with the HR Business Partner and the broader HR team the HR Advisor will contribute to impactful peoplerelated projects that enhance the employee experience strengthen engagement and support business performance. Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations (Primary Focus)
Take the lead on the full range of employee relations activities which will form the vast majority of the role.
Provide professional timely HR advice that is fully aligned to policies procedures and employment legislation.
Build trusted proactive partnerships with line managers offering early support on complex and sensitive ER matters including investigations suspensions disciplinaries grievances performance concerns health and safety issues absence management capability and contractual changes.
Ensure all ER cases are managed fairly consistently and efficiently maintaining high-quality documentation and clear communication throughout.
Generalist HR Support (Secondary Focus)
Support a range of employee lifecycle activities as required including preparing contractual variation letters coordinating recruitment activities for a designated workforce area completing general HR administration and maintaining HR systems databases and personnel files.
People Projects (As Capacity Allows)
Where appropriate and capacity allows support the HR Business Partner on key people initiatives linked to business prioritiesfor example enhancing employee experience strengthening performance culture supporting talent attraction and retention and coaching line managers on effective people management practice.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
Degreelevel education or equivalent (desirable).
Relevant experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role with exposure to ER matters and full lifecycle activities such as recruitment onboarding and offboarding.
CIPD Level 3 (completed or working towards) required; Level 5 or above desirable.
Demonstrated application of employment law in practice.
Experience in a fastpaced multisite operational environment.
Competent in Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems (Workday experience desirable).
