Red Hat seeks an experienced pre-sales solution architect to join the Tech Sales organisation in the Perth this role you will be assigned strategic Enterprise accounts for Red Hat in the Mining Oil and Gas industries. Working with a Sales Account Executive youll explore possibilities solve problems and build long-lasting relationships. Your mission is to expand our business by aligning to customers key technical decision points. You will help your accounts adopt solutions across the Red Hat portfolio giving them a competitive advantage. You will develop your technical knowledge skills with open source software and understanding of customer business processes to help identify and support solutions across multiple technology platforms. You will need excellent communication and people skills and be prepared to operate as a dedicated team player.
Being customer-facing you will need to be an excellent communicator (written and verbal) have strong people skills and be comfortable advocating Red Hat solutions at events and technical forums to audiences ranging from CIOs to user groups.

What you will do

  • Work in close partnership with your Account Executive and wider sales team to develop recommendations for the design and implementation of complex technology offerings services and impactful business solutions to achieve aggressive sales targets

  • Build and own trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their business IT environments and strategic objectives. Use this insight to propose appropriate Red Hat solutions.

  • Create and utilise existing technical content to provide compelling demonstrations to customers on how to implement specific solutions or familiarise them with the latest Red Hat technologies

  • Use education sessions discovery and workshops to guide engaging conversations with customers that address their problems and accelerate the successful adoption of Red Hats offerings and solutions

  • Establish yourself as a trusted subject matter expert for your customers gain the confidence of Executive/Senior leadership across all business departments and build valuable relationships with technical business stakeholders.

What you will bring

  • Ability to work autonomously meet deadlines and be held accountable for assigned activities/tasks.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a sales engineer consultant solution architect or in a relevant technology-focused role.

  • You are currently working as an IT Professional in the Mining/Oil and Gas industries or have considerable experience working for a technology provider that sells into these businesses.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills plus experience delivering technical business presentations

  • Record of developing relationships to executive levels throughout large accounts in the Mining/Oil and Gas industries.

  • A technical background with an understanding of infrastructure operations agile development CI/CD DevSecOps and associated capabilities.

  • Experience with automation microservices and containerization is preferred.

  • Experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure is preferred.

  • Industry certifications - AWS Azure Kubernetes (Desirable)

  • Understanding of Open Source communities and/or contributing to Open Source projects
