System Administrator II!
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required
BS in technical field 8 years experience OR
High School 12 years experience
Description:
Creates and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply patches and upgrades.
Troubleshoot server issues. Administer customer accounts
Deploy monitoring tools.
Deploy applications and tools.
Assist with escalated customer tickets.
Installation and cabling of equipment
Required Qualifications:
Linux command line system administration (CentOS RedHat Amazon Linux or equivalent)
Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS Azure or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus
Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch Docker Kubernetes Nifi)Preferred Qualifications:
Syslog/NxLog
Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
Required Qualifications:

Salary: $140000-$145000
A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered including but not limited to geographic location Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates relevant work experience specialized skills and competencies education and certifications.
