Applications are now being accepted for the following position for the 2026-2027 School Year:

Lower School Teachers Assistant Third Grade Part Time (5 hours per day)

Major Responsibilities:

With direction from classroom teacher work in small groups or one-on-one to assist in differentiation of instruction and meeting the needs of each child.

Provide regular feedback to the classroom teacher regarding the performance and behavior of students.

Assume teachers role when he/she must leave the room for short periods of time.

Supervise recess.

Perform clerical duties as required.

Enter grades into electronic grading system.

Carry out any other duties and tasks assigned by the teacher or Lower School Director.

Refer parents questions concerning progress of individual children to the appropriate teacher.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

Must be able to use a computer copier and other office equipment effectively.

Mobility sufficient to navigate efficiently and safely within our entire campus including playgrounds athletic fields and other environments with uneven ground while supervising students from the class.

Hearing sufficient to hear vocalizations from a distance and speech sufficient to instruct and interact indoors or outdoors with groups of students.

May be inside or outside and must be able to adapt to weather conditions.

Environment is quiet to moderately noisy.

Teachers Assistant should be experienced and knowledgeable in elementary education. Teachers Assistant should have an interest in and ability to contribute to extracurricular activities.

Education: Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience: Three or more years of experience required.

Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above requirements.
