The instructor ensures a safe engaging and inclusive learning environment that aligns with Massachusetts vocational standards and workforce Responsibilities:* Develop implement and update curriculum for HVAC instruction that meets Massachusetts vocational education standards and industry requirements.* Teach HVAC theory system design installation maintenance repair and troubleshooting of heating cooling and refrigeration systems.* Conduct hands-on laboratory and shop training emphasizing safety and proper tool/equipment usage.* Prepare lesson plans instructional materials and student assessments; track student progress and maintain accurate records.* Support students in preparation for industry certification exams (e.g. EPA Section 608 NATE R-410A).* Foster a professional respectful and inclusive classroom and shop environment.* Collaborate with colleagues industry partners and local employers to maintain alignment between instruction and workforce needs.* Participate in professional development staff meetings and curriculum review processes.* Maintain and inventory HVAC tools materials and instructional resources.* Advise students on career pathways apprenticeships and continuing education opportunities.
