About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to join our fastpaced highvolume primary care clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment enjoys working with a large provider team and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Complete patient intakes including vital signs medical histories and medication/allergy reviews.
Assist providers with exams minor procedures wound care and diagnostic testing.
Perform EKGs immunizations and specimen collection per protocol.
Prepare and process lab samples and pointofcare tests accurately.
Maintain infection control safety standards and equipment calibration.
Support patient triage care coordination and transitions of care.
Provide patient education on medications treatment plans and preventive care.
Document all clinical information accurately in the EHR.
Schedule appointments referrals authorizations and track test results.
Verify insurance and assist with prior authorizations billing and coding tasks.
Maintain inventory and prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies.
Participate in quality improvement activities and safety drills.
Communicate effectively with patients providers and care teams.
Uphold HIPAA OSHA and all compliance standards.
Deliver excellent customer service and compassionate culturally competent care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
Experience in Urgent Care or Family Medicine preferred.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Active CMA RMA or CCMA certification (required).
BLS certification (required).
Proficient with EHR systems. (Athena Preferred)
Skilled in vital signs EKGs specimen collection and assisting with procedures.
Strong knowledge of infection control and sterile technique.
Excellent communication customer service and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fastpaced environment.
