ASSISTANT DIRECTOR ACADEMIC & EVENTS MIT Sloan Martin Trust Center to manage course portfolios events and student-facing programs from planning through execution; evaluate program effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative metrics; pilot new programming models; and serve as the primary liaison among faculty staff students and cross-campus partners. The position is accountable for enrollment targets application processes student communications event design graduation ceremonies and reporting outcomes to senior academic leadership. Programs include multiple entrepreneurship certificates study tours fellowships and co-curricular offerings; oversee significant resource management including coordinating teaching appointments for 30 faculty recruiting and training teaching assistants managing program and event budgets negotiating vendor contracts and establishing scalable operational processes; develop strong relationship management with faculty instructors vendors and stakeholders.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:Bachelors degree; a minimum of 2 years of academic administration experience; proven track record of successful project/ program and event management;strong organizational communication multitasking and process-design skills; technical proficiency; discretion with confidential information; and adaptability in fast-paced environments.PREFERRED: Masters degree; experience in academic coordination in higher education; familiarity with MIT and MIT Sloan policies and procedures; social media skills; and design skills.
