Job Summary
Ozarks First in Springfield Missouri is hiring a News Photographer/Video Editor. The ideal candidate must be passionate about journalism. You will shoot and edit daily packages VOs/VOSOTS special assignments and natural sound packages. The successful candidate will have a high degree of professionalism effective communication skills the ability to organize and prioritize workload and function well in high-pressure situations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Shoot andedit daily videos and stories for newscasts
- Understanding of how to create videos and photos for our web and social media platforms
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs. of equipment (camera TVU tripod lights and other equipment)
- Set up live shots on very short notice
- The ability to work under pressure
- Drive and maintain news vehicles
- Suggest stories read online news and follow social media daily
- Collaborate with coworkers to discuss assignments and logistics
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks.
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
- Flexibility to work any shift.
