Job Summary

Were on the lookout for a Data Scientist who is passionate about solving complex problems building advanced analytical solutions and driving meaningful business this role youll play an important part in developing INGs data science capability through the delivery of highquality models insights and analytical frameworks that support strategic and operational outcomes.
Working closely with data engineers developers and stakeholders across the Retail Bank youll help shape our analytics environment and uplift the organisations analytical maturity. You will contribute to the design and development of advanced analytics infrastructure champion bestpractice modelling techniques and support the broader analytics community through knowledgesharing and mentorship. This is a 3 month secondment based in Sydney.
What youll do
- Lead datadriven projects from concept to implementation enhancing INGs analytics infrastructure and supporting key business objectives.
- Develop and improve INGs data science and machinelearning environment in partnership with data engineers to deliver productionready analytical solutions.
- Perform advanced analytics and modelling to solve business challenges understand customer behaviour and generate actionable insights.
- Evaluate and implement advanced analytics tools and techniques designing and operationalising proofofconcept solutions.
- Provide highquality adhoc analysis and insights to stakeholders to support strategic decisionmaking across the bank.
- Mentor members of the analytics community by sharing bestpractice modelling techniques and supporting capability uplift.
What were looking for
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Python; working knowledge of GCP and Vertex AI is highly regarded
- Extensive experience in data and statistical analysis predictive modelling a good overview of commonly used ML and data-mining methods and preferably some exposure to ML Ops (or willingness to learn on the job)
- Strong analytical problemsolving and lateralthinking skills enabling you to interpret complex information and generate meaningful insights.
- Data visualisation and presentation capability with the ability to deliver clear intuitive and impactful insights to stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that help you build strong relationships and translate technical concepts into businessfocused messages.
- High standards in documentation process quality and information management ensuring accuracy consistency and clarity across all analytical outputs
