The Human Health Research Services Platform (HHRSP) is hosted by the Liggins Institute and provides a comprehensive range of services to support human health research across the University of Auckland including data services statistical support health economics research coordination follow-up research coordination digital support clinic space and nursing support.
The HHRSP and the Liggins Institute are seeking a Clinical Trial Manager to join their world-leading research centre. The position is a fixed-term part-time (0.5 FTE) (18.75 hours per week) role until 30 April 2027 to provide parental leave cover.
The responsibilities of the roles include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for the relevant studies and regularly communicating with the funders sites lead investigators sponsor and key stakeholders arranging and holding meetings as appropriate
- Oversee study-related activities including timelines milestones and specific requirements
- Ensure ethics and regulatory requirements are fulfilled and that all approvals and authorisations are secured
- Set up contracts manage payments of sites subcontractors service providers etc
- Write and submit progress/safety reports as and when required to ethics and regulatory bodies funder sponsor as applicable
- Perform site monitoring visits at participating centres according to Standard Operating Procedures ICH Good Clinical Practice and project-specific monitoring plans

Our ideal candidates will:
- Have a Bachelors Degree in a relevant area
- Have at least three years experience in a clinical trial/study environment
- Have experience in ethics regulatory requirements and ICH Good Clinical Practice
- Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills especially with multiple stakeholders
- Be able to demonstrate being highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Have experience in motivating others managing and meeting deadlines.
