Responsibilities may include some of the following:

• Train and supervise housekeeping staff ensuring they are knowledgeable about cleaning procedures safety protocols and company standards
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate information address concerns and provide ongoing training
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment motivating staff to achieve high performance and maintain morale
• Provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations to team members
• Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety regulations
• Establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation for all guest rooms and public areas
• Conduct regular room inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement checklists and procedures for room cleaning and maintenance
• Address guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally
• Ensure all rooms are prepared according to specific guest requirements and preferences
• Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow
• Monitor staff attendance and punctuality addressing any issues as needed
• Manage staff leave requests and ensure appropriate coverage
• Adjust schedules to accommodate fluctuating occupancy levels and special events
• Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies linens and guest amenities
• Order and manage stock levels ensuring adequate supplies are available while minimising waste
• Monitor and control housekeeping expenses adhering to budget guidelines
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies
• Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies
