Take Technical Ownership of Permanent Modular Projects
Are you an experienced Architectural Technician looking for a role where your drawings genuinely drive construction delivery not just production output
This is an opportunity to join a specialist modular construction consultancy delivering permanent modular buildings across public sector projects nationwide.
Working within a small technically-led team you will take ownership of drawing packages from concept through to construction issue. This is not a production CAD role. It is a technically accountable position where your coordination decisions directly influence programme compliance and buildability.
The business operates as Principal Designer and Principal Contractor under CDM regulations and delivers Design & Build modular schemes across education healthcare social housing and commercial sectors.

You will be trusted to manage your workload independently and deliver accurate coordinated construction packages aligned to programme.
The Role Architectural Technician
As Architectural Technician you will:
- Produce coordinated GA drawings and full construction drawing packages
- Develop modular building layouts and optimise configurations
- Coordinate foundation requirements and drainage interfaces within designs
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and CDM requirements
- Liaise with structural engineers consultants and local authorities
- Update drawings in line with site constraints and client feedback
- Maintain drawing registers and version control documentation
- Support planning and technical submissions
- Assist with resolving technical queries during live project delivery
- Attend site visits and surveys when required
Technical Requirements
To be considered for this Architectural Technician role you must have:
- Strong AutoCAD capability
- Experience producing coordinated GA and construction drawing packages
- Understanding of UK Building Regulations
- Experience coordinating foundations drainage and civils interfaces
- Confidence working independently within a small team environment
Desirable Experience
- Modular construction background
- Architectural consultancy experience
- Experience operating under CDM framework
- Revit exposure
- Experience liaising directly with consultants and local authorities
Working Environment
- Scarborough town centre office location
- Office-based role no hybrid working
- 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- Small team structure with direct Director reporting
