What does an IT Platform Engineer II - Windows Systems Administrator with Azure expertise do
Sealed Air Shared Service (Philippines) Inc. is looking for a skilled and proactive IT Platform Engineer II - Windows Systems Administrator with Azure expertise to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is located in Makati City Philippines and reports to the Senior Cloud Engineer / IT Manager. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our hybrid IT environment which includes both on-premises Windows infrastructure and cloud-based Azure resources.
With a strong technical foundation in Windows Server and Active Directory and hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure you will collaborate with internal teams to ensure system reliability performance and security. You will also play a key role in cloud deployments virtualization management and infrastructure troubleshooting helping to drive operational excellence and support business continuity.
Why we need you
- Manage and administer Windows Server environments (DNS DHCP Group Policy file services)
- Maintain Active Directory services including user accounts groups OUs and domain controllers
- Monitor and troubleshoot Windows Server performance and system issues
- Execute Windows Server patching updates and maintenance procedures
- Manage backup and recovery operations for Windows Server environments
- Administer VMware virtualization infrastructure and virtual machine lifecycle
- Manage and monitor Azure resources (VMs storage accounts etc.)
- Assist in deploying Azure services using Azure Portal CLI Infrastructure as Code and PowerShell
- Monitor performance of VM servers
- Lead and participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of infrastructure issues
- Oversee Azure resource costs and maintain organizational standards
- Support disaster recovery planning testing and implementation
- Execute cloud migration projects and strategies
What are we looking for in you
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of expertise in Windows Server administration (DNS DHCP Group Policy file services)
- Extensive hands-on experience with Active Directory management (users groups OUs domain controllers)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure administration and services
- Experience with VMware virtualization platforms (vSphere vCenter)
- Scripting capabilities for automation and administrative tasks with PowerShell preferred
- Understanding of Windows Server roles and features (IIS Print Services Remote Desktop Services)
- Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures for Windows environments
- Experience with Windows Server patching and update management
- Understanding of RBAC and security permissions in Windows environments
- Familiarity with Azure Portal Azure CLI and management tools
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor or Log Analytics
- Working knowledge of virtual machines disks snapshots and backup strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure platforms
- Knowledge of Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for migration projects
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Understanding of Azure networking components (VNets NSGs load balancers etc.)
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-premises integrations (Azure Arc Site-to-Site VPN)
- Azure Administrator Associate certification (AZ-104) or equivalent
- Experience with additional scripting languages (Python Bash etc.)
- Basic understanding of containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes Azure Container Instances)
- Advanced Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills
