The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for the acquisition servicing and underwriting of commercial loans. This position requires strong underwriting skills and sales ability. Candidate must be able to reasonably conduct complex credit analysis activities including gathering analyzing and interpreting all types of credit and financial information for existing and prospective customers in support of efforts to minimize risk and potential loss. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to acquire new and maintain existing business work within a team environment and provide superior quality service.

Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service representing the Bank in a courteous friendly and professional manner.
- Actively solicit new business from prospects and existing customers which includes deposit relationships and other bank services offered.
- Appropriately sell and cross-sell bank services in the branch and local community by developing rapport with customers and by being involved in community and business development activities.
- Meet annual goals and objectives set by senior management for loan quality plus loan and deposit growth.
- Underwrite commercial loans and recommend approval to the next level where appropriate.
- Manage commercial portfolio which involves but is not limited to face to face meeting with clients on an as needed basis receipt and review of financials preparation and presentation of credit requests and completion of annual report (if applicable).
- Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements to ensure bank compliance in area of responsibility and directly responsible for regulatory compliance on each loan within portfolio.
- Attend meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in finance business or economics or related field preferred and a minimum of one year of work experience as a commercial lender credit analyst or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships.
- Excellent telephone skills and oral and written communication skills.
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and other bank equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport with people.
- Mathematical and numerical ability and detail orientation is essential.
