Job Summary

General Description of Position:

Responsible for the security of the Ivy Tech Service Area Campuss and parking lots. Reports to the Public Safety/Emergency Prep Lead.

Major Responsibilities:

Provides security of halls and buildings if non-students enter or if emergency assistance is required by students or faculty at the campuss.
Provides security in the parking lot at the campus assigned.
Documents any incidents needing reporting and communicates with local police.
Delivers daily receipts from the Business Office and Bookstore to bank for deposit.
Performs other duties as assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.

Education Experience And Other Requirements:

High School Diploma Required.
Previous law enforcement or security experience required.
Associate Degree and/or work experience in higher education setting preferred.

Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks including criminal history check and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
