Position Title: Weld Fitter
Location: Auburn Hills
Shifts Needed: Day or Night
Days Monday- Friday 6a-4:45p Saturday 6a-12p Nights Monday- Friday 4p-3:45a

Character of Position
As a Weld Fitter you will be responsible for fitting fabricating and assembling the structural components that make up a tool.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret the blueprints to determine the specifications tolerances and locate/read the stock list on a drawing
- Prep lay out fit position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies
- Weld components in flat vertical or horizontal positions
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniques
- Perform precision fitting and adjustments to ensure proper assembly
- Maintain the proper tooling to complete tasks
- Construct structural components from raw materials
- Ability to saw miter and fit fabrications
- Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed
- Certified in TIG and MIG welding
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and ITAR compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Use of straightedge combination square and calipers.
- Use of shears power saws cutting torches and chipper knives to cut structural components
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Strong analytical skills
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent communication time management and organizational skills
Experience
- Proven experience working as a weld fitter
- Minimum of 2 years experience
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
