Aluminum Fabricator

Position Summary:Welder/Fabricator is responsible for complete fabrication assembly & welding of raw steel & aluminum into manufactured bodies. Included but not limited to cutting & forming raw materials into parts welding parts together reading & understanding build sheets & standard work instructions for the various products we Responsibilities:Welding steel and aluminum Measuring and cutting raw materials to specificationsAssess welded surfaces structures and components for flawsPosition Qualifications & Requirements: Ability to read and interpret build sheets and work instructionsAbility to work overtime and varied shift assignments if necessaryAll Welders are required to wear a form of respirator. Successful completion of pre-employment respirator testing is / CertificationsHigh School diploma or GED preferredInternal or External Weld Certification requiredExperience:Welding may be required to MIG TIG or Fluxcore Welding (Steel and Aluminum)Manufacturing industry or background experience preferredTier 2 3-6 yrs. Tier 3 7-10 yrs. Tier 4 10 yrs with consideration of level of welding capability and complexity of workSkills and Abilities:Ability to hold and use Weld gun in vertical lateral and overhead to pass Steel Weld TestAbility to pass tape measure testingWork environment:Automotive repair shop atmosphereAbility to work in uncontrolled weather conditions (Heat/Cold) Ability to stand for 8-10 hoursFrequent bending standing crouching lifting walking use of hands & arms Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE)Travel: NoneJ.B.
